The struggling American designer Dooney & Burke, often overshadowed by another American designer, Coach is taking what I believe to be some drastic measures at trying to regain some more public visibility as a luxury brand. In their efforts Dooney & Bourke is offering 50% off select handbags! A move which I believe is detrimental to a “luxury” brand. What’s the reason for the sale? It’s September! Ridiculous, I know but tough times calls for tough measure. Or at least that is what I think they are thinking over there in Connecticut anyway. If I sound a little biased, I am sorry, I am trying my best not to, but at the same time I am not a huge Dooney & Bourke either, maybe it’s because that stuck up fat chick in college flaunted her Dooney & Bourke at me bag everyday, or maybe I am just crazy, who knows. But the one thing I do know is that a lot of people do like Dooney & Bourke and I am here to let you know they this is a good time to get one. cheers!
