The Simple…Kind of Simple Ways of Saving for the Holidays: Installment 2

Welcome to Installment 2 of 3 of my Simple…Kind of Simple Ways of Saving for the Holidays! I know you’ve been waiting excitedly all week to see how I can save you dough this week…well just in time for you to go to the grocery stores…
Holiday Dinner
Strategy A: Buy what you need during sales
Difficulty Level: Easy to Moderate
That holiday dinner can get pretty expensive. I highly suggest you be on the lookout for weekly grocery ads and buy things you know you will need a head of time while they’re on sale. While you can’t store a 10 pound turkey for a month you can easily purchase baking ingredients well in advance if you know you’ll need them.
Strategy B: Use Coupons
Difficulty Level: Moderate
While grocery stores are not as coupon friendly as they use to be, coupons can still save you a lot when you combine the use of them with sale items. You can find grocery coupons in your Sunday paper or simply look online! They may be a pain to find and cut, but they’re well worth the savings.
