Cork Chic

We all know that I’m the environment friendly, cause friendly gal, so when I stumbled across Cork Chic it intrigued me.
I have definitely seen and heard about all the new fashion trends that are happening with the cork material, but I didn’t think that it was eco-friendly. I just thought the designers were running out of ideas. Guess not.Cork Chic is actually a company located in Portugal. Their interests are to use the textile of cork in creating handbag and cork accessories such as belts and wallets. Their claim is that by purchasing cork, you are helping to “preserve the vitality of centuries old cork oak forest” and thus helping the wildlife.
I actually think that it’s not too bad looking especially for something that’s made completely out of cork. They look pretty light too. Their prices range about $125-400 USD. Check it out: www.corkchic.com. If you think it’s something for you, it’s a great way to think outside of the box in being eco-friendly.
