Chanel Bandana Large Tote Bag

I was looking through the Chanel site the other day and decided to check out their Spring-Summer 2009 Pre-Collection.  I’m normally a fan of this brand because of their structure and elegance.  But as I was looking through the pre-collection, I stumbled upon this one bag that immediately turned me off—the Chanel large tote bag in bandana print.  I mean is the bandana trying to make a comeback?  Really?  Really Chanel??  Is it really that cool that people want to wear it as a bag now?  Where did this concept even originate from?

When was the last time you ever wore a bandana? Have you even worn one?  The only time I’ve worn one was during a middle school camp. And that was only to differentiate us from the different teams we were divided up into.  It’s funny how this bag reminds me of that one camp trip because my team color bandana was orange, as is this Chanel bag, although this bag might be closer to the peach color.  I just don’t need to see a bag that gives me flashbacks of the days when we all wore overalls and some people wore bandanas.

So what do you think?  Fashion forward?  Or a fashion banda-NO?
