Oh Neiman’s

So I don’t know how many of you shop or prefer Neiman Marcus, but they sure do have their pro’s and con’s. This is only applicable for their online purchasing. I was looking at their recent handbag sale and was debating if I should make a purchase. Before I decided to click on the check out button, I did some research.
Con’s
- On average shipping can cost you $16 and up depending on the price of your item, but let’s face it, if you’re shopping at Neiman Marcus, your purchases are rarely going to end up being less than $100. (A good way to avoid extra shipping charges is wait until they have a special code for you to get shipping on.)
- Taxes are applicable for all states.
- Hesitate when purchasing clothing. From reviews that I’ve read, you need to be careful if they’re reselling you used clothing, be sure to check that all tags are there.
- Bad customer service. While I have yet to experience their customer service, their reviews are quite bad.
- Be cautious when returning online merchandise to their stores! This would be the one time I would suggest sending it back than taking it back to the stores to return it. Neiman Marcus doesn’t issue you a credit at the store, however they will take it back for you and send it where it needs to go, but it could take up to 4 weeks for you to see your refund.
Pro’s
- They carry a lot of high end names that can be hard to find aside from their respective websites.
- If you are a fan of Juicy, Neiman Marcus’s website tends to have fairly good deals on Juicy Couture products especially when they’re on sale.
By the look of my list, I better make sure I really want something from the Neiman Marcus website before purchasing, or else I may chance having problems returning it later, but I think if I can make it to the actual store that would be my best bet. Let me know if you had a good experience shopping online with Neiman Marcus.
