Chanel Cake

So I was just browsing the web when I saw a picture of a Gucci handbag cake, and I thought, how ridiculous.  People want cakes in a shape of a designer bag now?  And then I gave it some thought, and began to think, okay, maybe this concept is kinda cool.  So I started searching up some images of handbag cakes out of curiosity only to be stunned by all these people’s cake design skills.  As it turned out, the search resulted in thousands of images, the majority of them actually looking pretty decent.  Among the cakes resembling designer handbags, the most popular ones seem to be Gucci and Louis Vuitton cakes, which I guess would make sense.  But I would have to say-the best looking handbag cake I saw is the one above.  If I hadn’t researched handbag “cakes”, I would have never known this was a cake.  A-mazing!! This looks way too close like the real deal.  I mean the black leather portion of it looks so real, it’s even shiny under the light; and the checkered pattern portion of it looks way too real.  I would love to buy one of these and not eat it.  I’d just put it in a clear display glass box and admire it.  Props to the cake maker for her creativity and attention to detail!
