Eco-friendliness, do you practice it?
Lately, everyone’s been going the green route. I was watching some show the other day about this company based in New Jersey in which they make products with things they find in the trash. They were trying to make a kite design using candy wrappers to sell to Walmart. Everyone in the office had to make their own kite and whichever one passed the flying test, would be their model to show the Walmart representative.
Then I came across this pretty interesting website, called www.Eco-Handbags.ca. It’s dedicated to making “chic, unique and fashionable” handbags created from recycled materials. To be honest, some of the bags are not that bad. To know that they were made from things people once considered trash is very eco conscious.
Now that the world is always on the go, many companies focus on laptops. This Laptop Protector case is made from Jute. Jute is a long, soft, shiny plant fibre that can be spun into coarse, strong threads. It is 100% bio-degradable and recyclable. The protective padding is made using recycled Teri-cloth material and fits most 15.5” widescreen laptops. And the best part is that all the proceeds help women’s group in India (where this laptop protector is made) support their families and improve their communities.

So purchasing this laptop case will help with the environment AND women’s group in India? Wow. Talk about really helping the world!
