Today is Fashion’s Night Out, a global celebration of fashion! In the mist of the recession, Vogue has teamed up with NYC & Company, the City of New York, and the Council of Fashion Designers of America to try to boost the fashion industry especially at the heart of America’s fashion, New York City. Interestingly, fashion is the second largest industry in NYC after finance. With more than 800 fashion companies, 175,00 employees, generating $10 billion in wages, many people will lose their jobs and the economy would suffer deeply if people don’t shop. So what better way to promote the fashion industry than to provide a big festivity of champagne, hors d’oeuvres, music performances, barbecues, sweepstakes, limited-edition rings, window displays, and plenty of models and celebrities!! Plus – you can get a makeover and a haircut! Fabulous!!

Not in New York? That’s okay too! Los Angeles is also celebrating at a few different places:

3.1 Phillip Lim Los Angeles (6-11pm)
Fred Segal at Melrose(7-11pm) and Santa Monica (4-7pm)
Moods of Norway (6-11pm)
Neiman Marcus at Beverly Hills(6-9pm) and Topanga (6-10pm)
Rock & Republic (6-11pm)
Trina Turk (6:30-8:30pm)

Happy Celebrating!!
