Many of us have no idea how to treat and care for leather. Luckily the equestrian (horseback riders) market have a few tips for us. Thier leather saddles and equipment are not unlike the leathers used in our bags. Many people believe wet leather is ruined leather. Neglected wet leather can be ruined but with a little know how and a little elbow grease You can prevent some of the damage and protect your investment.

1) Wipe off excess water with a non-abrasive absorbant cloth.
2) Use some leather cleaner to clean off any dirt deposits.
3) Use a leather conditioner to help restore some of its original properties.

Follow these maintance tips and the leather on your bag will last you for many many years.
