Myth Busters: Removing Pen Marks from Leather
Myth: Pen marks can be removed with hairspray.
After trying 4 different type of hair spray (2 containing alcohol, 2 without alcohol) and 1 bottle of mousse, I would consider this myth BUSTED.
Myth: Pen marks can be removed with Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.
After trying 3 different types of sponge (Mr. Clean, Scotch Brite, Generic Scour Pad). I would also consider this BUSTED. All three sponges does not prove to be a good product to “clean” the pen mark in fact it damaged the leather by removing layers of it. Definitely NOT recommended!
Myth: Pen marks can be removed with Leather Cleaner.
After trying 3 different brands of leather cleaner. I would consider this inconclusive. There are thousands of products out there but a majority of “leather cleaners” clean only condition the leather and remove dirt and grim but does not remove old stains or pen marks.
Got another idea? Let me know!

Removing pen marks or anything for that matter from LV Vachetta is very difficult. I haven’t tried it yet, but LMB has what potentially may clean or restore LV Vachetta. I am tempted to purchase myself.
Google lovinmybags and go to the LV section for more details.
