Last Friday, Vivienne Westwood celebrated her 70th birthday. Normally, we stereotype 60 or 70 year old women to be conservative, but this British fashion designer, known as the queen of Punk, has made her rebellious mark by designing clothing, accessories and shoes with a punk twist over the past 40 years. Her work has become so popular despite the nonconventional designs, being known for her 9 inch platform shoes (in which supermodel Naomi Campbell famously fell over during one of her Paris shows) and her wedding dress featured in the recent Sex and the City movie.
