Bringing new meaning to the term “book bag,” French designer Olympia Le-Tan has come up with collections that are sure to fuse the literary world with the fashion world. The designer is known for her collections featuring clutches that are designed to appear like books. Often, the designer will embroider on the exterior of each clutch a cover taken from a popular book known to most. Titles include Madame Bovary and The Glass Menagerie. Celebrities such as Natalie Portman and Clemence Poésy have been seen at public events carrying one of these clutches. Not only do the clutches add something new to your outfit but they also work great in sending a literary message. As we all know, fashion is about making a statement.
