Two Very nice intertwined “G” logos sets off a nice bold style for the Gucci “Ring with interlocking Guilloche G Motif.” At first glance I wanted to adorn this ring with a puffed out manly chest and shout, “With your powers combined, I am Captain GUCCI!” Hopefully people still remember one of the best cartoons ever, “Captain Planet.” Then I realized how inappropriate that would sound so I thought (with childish glee) the ring would somehow summon an extraterrestrial green lantern that grants its wearer alien powers. For only $300 it makes my imaginations less farfetched.

You can never go wrong with what to wear when you have this sterling silver 11g ring. From afar it can pass for a class ring. So, what class were you in? Class Gucci 2012!

Any of you fellas still seraching around for a gift to give on Valentine’s day? Well look no more! This small bowling bag from Chanel will be the perfect gift that will earn you those brownie points for years to come. This particular bag however is the small bowling bag in red calfskin, which sets the perfect mood for Valentine’s Day. The bag itself does come with a hefty price tag that can do some damage. It is priced at $2500 and is expected to rise, so unless you have deep pockets, I hope you have had some money saved up.

I thought this little accessory was pretty cute. It’s a bird speaker. Birds are known for chirping and singing, right? So this is a bird on technological steroids. It now plays your favorite music from any music device, including: mp3 players, iphone, ipod, dvd player, cd player, laptop, desktop, walkman, radio, etc.

This bird, also known as Fauvette, are sold in stores for $35. It’s a bit pricey, but it comes with a 2 watt speaker that lasts up to four hours on a single charge. Simply plug the USB cable into your computer to charge the unit. There is also a battery indicator on the unit to let the user know when battery levels are low.

Though this would not work for me, it definitely would make a great gift for any teenage girl.

What time is it? It’s time for me to get a new watch! Who hasn’t heard of that one? Well, my Movado watch has finally drained my last battery and I plan on using it as an excuse to purchase a brand new watch. I was in the market for something more casual than my Movado, but at the same time I want it to be stylish. During my scrumptious yet nutritious lunch, I happened upon a very masculine and classic watch while surfing the web. It couldn’t be helped! This watch had dials that can give off a superb “come hither” look! Kenneth Cole, you have outdone yourself this time. Props to you Kenneth Cole.

The Kenneth Cole New York “Navy Rubber Link Watch” is the white whale that I’ve been searching for. It has a classic 4mm face with a modern navy blue band. The frame of the face is made of steel that’s coated in a gleaming black. The dates displayed are magnified which means I have no excuse to forget a birthday. The little boy in me is jumping with joy because it only costs $125 on the Kenneth Cole website.

I never thought the day would come when a person would wake up one morning and decide that they want to revert back in time before the evolution of man occurred. You might be a little confused as to what I am referring to. Ladies and gentlemen, let’s take a moment to ogle at the image that lies above this text. What might those monstrous things be? Those are Prada’s new gloves made of nappa leather along with a faux lapin fur. If I saw a person walking around town with those things on her arms, I would probably jump back in horror for fear of being attacked. It would be an understatement if I were to say that those things pack a punch. The pale pink version of these gloves resembles the arms of a baboon while the silver version is the facsimile of a gorilla’s limbs. If you were to put these on, it would resemble the scene of a horror film when a person realizes that she is slowly turning into a monster. Looks aside, let’s get down to the technicalities of these gloves. Judging by the amount of furriness going on, these gloves are meant to keep your arms warm. However, they also make it hard for a person to coordinate one’s outfit since it would be difficult to wear these over a regular coat. What that means is that you would be left wearing a sweater of some sort. I just don’t see the point of wearing these gloves when the rest of your body is left shivering from the cold. To add insult, Prada lists these gloves for $450. I say save yourself the money and purchase a nice coat instead or some other glove that doesn’t make you veer on the side of ridiculous.

Lately I’ve been seeing a variety of male accessories come into fashion and that brings an exorbitant amount of joy to my accessorized heart. Some of the decorative ornaments that have been gracing men’s wrists with masculine splendor are leather straps. Ever so pliable leather twisted, braded, lined, stitched, buckled, and more with galore! As nice as it sounds there are a few “fashion no-no’s” that should never have made the cut.

Exhibit A: The Yves Saint Laurent “Logo Cuff” in black leather. I suddenly have a mental image of Kevin Sorbo as Hercules partaking in his signature handshake (a firm grip to each other’s leather wrist guards). Wrist guards were considered armor and to be used like shields back then, but that doesn’t mean it is necessary today. A large slab of leather, the YSL logo to cover the entire wrist, and two buckled adjustable straps for $345.00. Am I sensing a dominatrix-like inspiration here? Mum’s the word. To top it all off, the Yves Saint Laurent website deems the logo “iconic” with the “air of sophistication.” I doubt that its sophistication can be worn to work.

After taking a look at them I’m starting to think his inspiration came from a R.L Stine book. I read a lot of these books when I was younger and for those of you who don’t know who R.L Stine is, he wrote many books under the name “Goosebumps”. Just to give you an idea of how the majority of his book covers looked like here is a picture.

I believe that people are only buying them because they are Kobe Bryant shoes because I can’t think of another occasion where you could possibly where these shoes to. Being that Christmas has passed and only comes once a year. Maybe one could wear them on Halloween if dressed as the Hulk or Barney? Would you pay $200 for these shoes? It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Scratch that. I recently went holiday shopping for my friends and family yesterday… let me just say that the rush of people stampeding over each other, via car or feet, was overwhelming. The women in needle thin heels are worse than the hooves of any stampeding animal alive.

After one swollen toe and a bruise growing to be the size of a baseball, I was only able to complete three of a ridiculous amount of gifts (two of which were ordered online might I add). The one purchase I made that did amuse me was the Rebecca Minkoff ‘Knuckles’ iPhone 4 & 4S Case for $58 at Nordstrom. I would have never guessed who would come up with such a unique idea. I’m using “unique” in a positive sense. It is an iPhone case shaped like brass knuckles. I mean inventive! I can’t say the same about the style and how well it will fit in a pocket, but I guess if it were carried in a purse there wouldn’t be a problem.

The Rebecca Minkoff ‘Knuckles’ was on the wish list of an eccentric friend whose name I had pulled out of the secret Santa box. Let us hope she doesn’t actually use them as knuckles unless there are people out there that enjoy being hit by an iPhone.

Gucci versus Louis Vuitton: and so the endless debate begins. I recently got the Louis Vuitton belt but it wasn’t easy deciding between the two. Even though some people might think differently, here are my two cents.

Louis Vuitton Pros & Cons: The Louis Vuitton belt is very subtle looking and the buckle sits nice and flush with the height of the belt which does not make the belt too flashy. The only complaint that I have for this belt is the price, which is set at $460 before taxes. Also, a mental note for any men or women who plan on buying this belt for personal use or even as a gift: the belt does run kind of small so it would be smart to do a test fit to give you a general idea on what size to get.

Gucci Pros & Cons: The Gucci belt has a unique material that is easy to maintain and I know this because I have a Gucci wallet in the same material as this belt. For a price of $295 before taxes, you can’t complain for what you’re getting. The only drawback that kept me from getting this belt was that the buckle seems a bit oversized and the material gives off a glossy appearance which is a bit too flashy for me.

I feel that each one has its own personality whether it is subtle or flashy, but all in all, I would not mind having either belt. Leave your comment below on which belt you prefer!

Women have the upper hand when it comes to detailed and flashy accessories. Their wallets are easily the size of a planner with an abundance of compartments to be deemed an office filing cabinet. Why can’t men have wallets like filing cabinets? Unless the pockets of our pants have mysterious magical properties of Mary Poppins’s tote bag or Hermione’s satchel; it’s impossible.
Now take exhibit A for instance (picture above). This is my intricately made slim filing cabinet. The Bottega Veneta “Nero Intrecciato Billfold Wallet.” It may only hold up to four cards, but it also has space for coins. Do you hear that? Yes, that is the sound of nothing because I no longer have to carry loose change in my pockets! It is unquestionably $480 well spent. This is the detail I lack in my G.Q. life.
