Any of you fellas still seraching around for a gift to give on Valentine’s day? Well look no more! This small bowling bag from Chanel will be the perfect gift that will earn you those brownie points for years to come. This particular bag however is the small bowling bag in red calfskin, which sets the perfect mood for Valentine’s Day. The bag itself does come with a hefty price tag that can do some damage. It is priced at $2500 and is expected to rise, so unless you have deep pockets, I hope you have had some money saved up.

I came across this image on Portero.com once, and now it’s already been sold. This floral evening bag may not be as beautifully made and well structured as most Valentino floral bags, but it still works for me. I love Chanel’s symbolic flower—the camellia, a flower that I don’t personally find that pretty, but Coco Chanel has managed to make it beautiful. This rare collectible item is made of black lace and fabric and lined inside with black satin. It includes a woven silver/lambskin chain strap along with a crystal CC charm that hangs from the frame top closure. The dimensions are 10 inches by 8 inches by 2 inches with a drop length of 18 inches. I will be adding this to my wish list!

Valentino bags are so unique that they give me select interests. I respect the designers and makers because of their intricate designs, but I wouldn’t necessarily want to carry all of their bags. Most Valentino bags these days have flower designs that are beautifully designed and beautifully made. Take for example, the new Fleurs Couture Tote from Valentino’s Spring 2010 collection pictured above. I think this bag is gorgeous, but only for display. I like the eye popping colors of the red, pink and yellow off the surrounding black and gray flowers in the black background. This tote including all the flowers is all leather which amazes me. Their detailed artistry made these pieces of leather look like real flowers and the colors really bring out the texture of the bag. It is so beautiful, it’s a work of art—I would rather just look at it then carry it. With this kind of craftsmanship, one can expect it to be pricey. Pre-order it at Nordstrom for $2690.

More and More these days I see vendors trying to pass their bag off as “Patent Leather”. While it infuriates me when someone lies to me, it’s even worst when someone is trying to sell me something and lie to me. So I want to make it clear here so that no one is deceived by shady vendors. According to wikipedia, ”Patent leather is leather that has been given a high gloss, shiny finish.”

Originally, the process was developed by a Newark-based inventor by the name of Seth Boyden in 1818. His process used a linseed oil–based lacquer coating.” Which was applied to, and here is the important part, genuine leather. However I often hear it being confused with poromeric imitation leathers such as DuPont’s Corfam and Kuraray Co.’s Clarino which are man-made materials with a similar glossy appearance.

Don’t get me wrong, I have no problem buying man-made materials. But if I were buying it and thinking it were leather, I would be very upset. Especially if I were paying for the price of leather and getting synthetic. If its a sales thing, I would definitely ask vendors to advertise it as “Wet Look” or “Shiny” or “Glossy”.

I was looking through the Chanel site the other day and decided to check out their Spring-Summer 2009 Pre-Collection.  I’m normally a fan of this brand because of their structure and elegance.  But as I was looking through the pre-collection, I stumbled upon this one bag that immediately turned me off—the Chanel large tote bag in bandana print.  I mean is the bandana trying to make a comeback?  Really?  Really Chanel??  Is it really that cool that people want to wear it as a bag now?  Where did this concept even originate from?

When was the last time you ever wore a bandana? Have you even worn one?  The only time I’ve worn one was during a middle school camp. And that was only to differentiate us from the different teams we were divided up into.  It’s funny how this bag reminds me of that one camp trip because my team color bandana was orange, as is this Chanel bag, although this bag might be closer to the peach color.  I just don’t need to see a bag that gives me flashbacks of the days when we all wore overalls and some people wore bandanas.

So what do you think?  Fashion forward?  Or a fashion banda-NO?

This marks a new era in American history being the first half black half white president to be elected in history, Barack Obama has broken many barriers and done what many thought would be impossible.

If you haven’t already done so and need a idea get a commemorative Obama bag, they should be fairly cheap now from your local novelty stores after all the elections are already over. I like them very so much! I love the colors that RIONI decided to choose for this collection. The purple and orange colors are just great with any casual outfit. The ruby color on the other hand, is rich like a glass of red wine—pure elegance!

What differentiates these pocketbooks from other handbags is that they are made of natural dyed leathers unlike many other patent colored vinyl handbags. This sort of quality should be praised and awarded. I want to give RIONI a Jen’s Gold Medal for producing this collection!

I think that actress Rachel Bilson has pretty cute style so when I saw recent photos of her carrying this bag, I had to investigate!

The brand is called Pringle of Scotland and this bag is the Kasia slouch tote. This leather tote looks comfortable and casual and just so incredibly adorable. Given an even closer look, the details of this bag is just stunning. I just love the subtle gray and black contrast of the four lines of knots down the front. The effect is very pleasant and pretty.

It’s a pretty large double handle tote so it will fit more than everything that you’d really need to carry in a bag and the best part is that it’s advertised as being “ultra-light”. I really just don’t see how anyone could go wrong with the Kasia slouch tote as their everyday bag (well, I guess I could see how the $2,500 price tag could arise as a major problem but that’s beside the point.)

Pringle of Scotland has definitely gotten my attention and their Kasia Slouch Tote has won my affection.

This bag features a very fun color combination, contrary to your typical blacks and browns that are more often associated with the older crowd. But this bag isn’t all about looks, it is still very functional and with it you should have plenty of room to carry all your necessities.

This is the bag that I am waiting for; the white leather snowflake pattern design leaflets are a great accent to some of the skirts I have to go with it. And really, I think this bag just speaks for itself.

Skip Juicy, Kate, and Dior, this hot rose color Dumpling Hobo will get more boys to turn their head than a supermodel on a motorcycle.

I don’t know what it is about this bag, but the more I stare at it, the more I like it. At first glance, I didn’t find it to be anything particularly spectacular (though I’m quite fond of its name.. It just sounds so cool). But I’m steadily falling more and more in love with it.

The rich color is striking and enticing. This Italian made bag, shown here in Violet, also comes in Cherry, a lovely bright red shade. It’s made of mink fur-stamped suede and is adorned with large tigers eye stones against the Violet or multicolored stones against the Cherry. The front cut outs are lined with wolf fish skin and I think it really is just a beautiful touch.

Fendi has really done a great job with this uber adorable handbag.
